Dan Is A Member Of the Board Of Directors Of Chelsea Avondale

Dan Bitar is the Co-Head of Growth at MSD Partners, a premier investment firm that since 2009 has invested on behalf of Dell Technologies Founder Michael Dell, his family, and other like-minded investors.

Dan joined MSD in 2003 and has served in a number of roles including Portfolio Manager, Member of the Valuation Committee and as a Member of the Trading Practices Committee.

At MSD, he has maintained a strong track record investing across industries and capital structures by focusing on knowing the operators of businesses and understanding the fundamental drivers of businesses before determining the quality of an investment. Prior to MSD, he worked at Brera Capital Partners investing in private companies. Dan began his career at The Blackstone Group, and later helped acquire and develop some of the earliest wireless network operators across a number of emerging markets while at Millicom International Cellular.

Dan grew up in Oregon and can be founding hiking the trails of Mt. Hood whenever possible.  He is also a long-suffering pole vaulter who works very hard to improve his personal best despite gravity’s overwhelming advantages.  Dan lives in New York City with his wife and three children.  He also serves on the board of Hope for New York where he is passionate about helping strengthen and launch organizations serving New York City’s vulnerable populations and creating opportunities for individuals to volunteer their time and skills.

Dan received his B.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
